Dorjan and Elizabeth met on New Year’s Eve through mutual friends, and by midnight, something special had already begun. What started as easy conversation quickly turned into laughter, connection, and a spark that’s only grown stronger.Lizzy was attending grad school in Richmond, VA and Dorjan was living Arlington, so the weekends were the only time they could see each other. If you've ever driven on I-85, you know how long that drive can really be, but it was worth it.About a year went by and Dorjan was told he was moving to San Antonio, Texas. Without hesitation, Lizzy moved halfway across the country, leaving family, friends, and the place she has lived her whole life.Tons of memories were made in Texas, from rodeos to the countless times exploring the Riverwalk, and their relationship grew even stronger. Now, after 3 years of that Texas Sun, Lizzy and Dorjan are heading to California, where they can't wait to make even more memories and continue to grow and foster their love for one another.Together since 2022, they’ve built a love full of fun, friendship, and unforgettable moments. Now they’re heading to Key West to say “I do”, celebrating their forever with sunshine, ocean breezes, and the people they love most.

When should we book travel?

Since this is a destination wedding, we're sending save-the-dates early to give everyone plenty of time to plan. We recommend booking your hotel and flights once you know you'll be celebrating with us, as Key West fills up quickly and prices can rise closer to the wedding. Some hotels (including our room block) won't open reservations until closer to the date, so if you don't see availability yet, don't worry — we just wanted to give you a heads-up so it's on your radar.

What airport should I fly into?

The closest airport is Key West International Airport, less than 10 minutes from Casa Marina and the heart of the island. If you're feeling adventurous, you could also fly into Miami International Airport or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and take the historic drive down the Overseas Highway, ranked as one of the most scenic drives the world!

Accommodations

We have reserved a room block at Casa Marina for guests who would like to stay at the wedding venue. That said, Key West is a small and very walkable island, so no matter where you stay, you'll likely be a short walk or ride away from the wedding festivities and local attractions.

If you would like to stay at the wedding venue, we've reserved a room block for the week of our wedding. Reservations will open approximately 300 days before arrival, and we'll add the booking link here as soon as it becomes available. The block includes any standard Key West View rooms.

The Reach, Casa Marina's sister hotel next door, is also included in the room block, and guests may use all Casa Marina amenities when staying there.
